Issues and options consultation
The Core Strategy issues and options and development sites consultation is now closed.
The Core Strategy Issues and Options document was the first opportunity to have a say on how we plan for future growth and development in the borough.
Planning is a way of ensuring that this growth is delivered in a sustainable way that balances social, environmental and economic objectives.
The issues and options document was made up of four sections.
Three of these sections are contained in the main document, available on this page under documents for download. The fourth section, development sites, was produced as a separate document.
The consultation ended on 17 August 2007.

The findings report. see under documents for download, provided feedback on the results of the consultation findings.
The responses to the Issues and Options consultation, summarised in the report have been used alongside other information and guidance, to inform more detailed options in the next stage of consultation on the Core Strategy, the Preferred Strategy (July 2011).
