Residential services
Services are provided to residents to deal with certain household pests in their homes and gardens. These services are all charged for although some charges can be waived in certain conditions. If you are reporting pest problems at locations other than your home or in a communal area then please go to our Enforcement Services section.
Charges
The current rates for pest control treatments in domestic premises are shown on the link on the right-hand side of this page. Payment will be accepted on or before the first visit and may be made by cash, cheque, or credit or debit card.

Claiming free treatment
Services to control rats, fleas, bedbugs, cockroaches, and Pharaoh ants can be provided free of charge where the householder is in receipt of one or more qualifying benefits at the time of service delivery. Please note that the householder is generally taken to mean the person registered for council tax at the property.

Limit on free pest control services
Any household will only be able to claim one free treatment in any twelve-month period. If your pest problem recurs, or if you have another pest problem, within this period then charges will apply at the full rates shown.
You can reduce the risks of pest re-infestation following treatment by following all the advice given by our pest control officers and that contained in any leaflets given to you during treatment.
