Dog microchipping

It is a legal requirement for dogs to wear a tag on their collar with their owner’s name and address on it when they are taken out.

However, tags can fall off or dogs can escape from the home when not wearing a collar. If this happens and your dog is microchipped, it can easily be returned home.

A microchip carries a unique code number that is read by special equipment, used by animal wardens, vets, RSPCA inspectors, and other animal rescue organisations.

Find out more by attending one of our animal warden micro-chipping clinics.

If you are running an event that you think would be suitable for the Animal Warden Micro-Chipping Clinic to attend, please contact us.
