Step 1
Make sure you meet the selection criteria:
The following areas will be looked at:
Attendance and punctuality - you have excellent attendance and a good punctuality record;
Academic ability - you have average to good teacher assessment at level 5 in maths, English and science, minimum of 14 total points score;
Social skills - you are positive and friendly with a willingness to learn;
Contribution to the school and local community - you are passionate about the young apprenticeship subject and an interest in a possible future career in the industry; and
Interest in sector industry - you are passionate about the young apprenticeship subject and have an interest in a possible future career in this sector.
Step 2
Download, print and complete the following application and monitoring forms:

Forms must be completed by yourself and your parents.
Your school will also be asked to complete section 'selection criteria and documentation section' to support your application. A combined score of 14 or higher is required for the young apprenticeships programme.

Post your completed application form to:

Step 4
Once your application form has been sent to us, you will be invited to attend a taster day where you will have the opportunity to take part in practical and classroom sessions, to help you and us decide if the course is right for you.
Step 5
You will be asked to attend an interview to confirm your decision to participate in the young apprenticeship programme.
Step 6
We will send you an official letter confirming whether your application has been successful or not.
