Help with childcare costs

Do you have children?

Are you confused about what benefits and help your family can access?

Many families struggle with the expense of childcare and raising young children and don't claim financial help because they think they will not be eligible.

Download our Quids for Kids booklet for information on benefits for families and help with childcare costs.

Childcare vouchers

Childcare vouchers are a fairly new way for working parents to get help with the costs of childcare.

They are issued through your employer, although not all employers offer them.

The major benefit of using vouchers is that each parent is able to pay their childcare provider up to £55 a week which is free from tax and national insurance contributions. This may not sound like much but can equate to around a thousand pounds in savings over the year, and that is just for a single parent paying a basic rate of tax!
