Children’s centres in Hounslow will offer services to parents and carers providing childcare, education, health and family support within the local community.
The council is working together in partnership with health and the voluntary sector to provide these services.
Sometimes all services will be provided in one building and sometimes they will be provided in a group of nearby venues.
Each of the children’s centres will provide a unique range of services, developed with local parents and designed to respond to the needs of that particular community.
These services may include:
Early education and childcare places that fit with families needs whether in group settings with childminders, or at home
Health advice, including pre & postnatal services
Parenting and family information and support
Support for parents to move into training and work
Preventative services to support children with additional needs early in a child’s life, including outreach into the community.
