Hounslow Council

Equality impact assessments

We are legally required to carry out an equality impact assessment (EIA) when drafting new policies, procedures or agreeing a proposed council saving which will transform a council service.

An equality impact assessment (EIA) also finds out whether a council policy may discriminate any particular community groups in Hounslow and ensures that all decisions impact a fair way on all groups.

The assessment should come up with solutions to eliminate or minimise any adverse impact identified but also present options to lessen any disadvantage.

This section shows you a list of the EIAs completed so far, categorised by directorates.

To view all of the EIAs listed under the proposed council savings for 2011/2012, please visit the webpage links on the left hand side of this page.

Please note: where a saving proposal does not link in with any equalities duties, then an equality impact assessment will not be relevant and will not be available. A link to a relevance test document can be accessed where appropriate.
