Residents' panel

A residents’ panel is a sample of residents that is recruited and maintained over a period of years. The members of the panel agree to take part in a number of surveys canvassing their views on a range of different topics. Due to the fact that the panel members have agreed to take part, response rates to surveys are generally very good.

Our residents’ panel has been running since 2003. It is made up of 2,000 Hounslow residents, who are selected at random and who have agreed to take part in up to four surveys a year, as well as in some focus group sessions.

The panel offers a means of consultation with residents through which we can find out how good our services are. Survey results help us to plan for future improvements to those service areas which are not found to be doing well.
