Every four years we are required to complete a review of our polling districts, polling places and polling stations.
We last carried out a review in 2007, so we wanted to carry out another review to hear your views.
We want to make sure we have suitable polling district boundaries which take into account the increases in population in certain areas following new development. We also need to make sure we are offering the best location; suitable premises with good access, and good transport links.
We would also like to try to reduce the number of schools that have to close, and to find more permanent buildings to reduce the number of mobile units for use as polling stations on election day.
Any changes to polling district boundaries or polling places will take effect from 1 December 2011 when the next electoral register is published.
This consultation started on Thursday 28 April and ended Monday 20 June 2011.
On this page you can read information on the notice as well as existing details of polling districts and polling places.
The survey has now closed.
