Hounslow Council

Orchard Junior, Infant and Nursery Schools

Proposals to discontinue Orchard Infant and Nursery School and Junior School, and to establish a new primary school on the same site

The council intends to discontinue Orchard Infant and Nursery School and Orchard Junior School.

It is proposed that a new mixed community primary school is opened which is to be established on the same site and that pupils currently attending these schools will attend the new Orchard Primary School.

The school is to be maintained by the London Borough of Hounslow. The school will serve the same area and have the same priority admission area as the schools currently on the site.

The Orchard School will serve the diverse community and will prioritise inclusion and ensure that the needs of a wide range of communities are meet.

The new school will cater for pupils aged between 3 and 11 and provide places for 630 boys and girls. In addition, a further 90 full time equivalent places will be provided for nursery pupils.

The admission number for the school on the opening date will be 90.

Arrangements for admission will be those published by the London Borough of Hounslow for the Primary Community Schools.
