We consulted residents on a possible parking scheme in March and April 2008. The results showed there is support among the respondents for a scheme in a number of roads. Consequently, it was agreed that a further consultation be carried out on the detail design of a scheme in the roads in favour.
Layton Road respondents were overwhelmingly in favour of a scheme. Layton Road is fairly remote from the possible North Brentford and Boston Manor CPZ, but it is adjacent the existing Brentford Station CPZ. Therefore, it is proposed to include it in the latter scheme which operates 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. In practice, the existing Brentford Station CPZ would be extended to encompass Layton Road.
The purpose of this consultation was to provide further information on how the CPZ would operate and to check whether the scheme’s design meets your expectations.
It also provided the local community with a further opportunity to express their views with the benefit of the details of the scheme before them.
