Hounslow Council

Climate change strategy

This consultation is now closed - thank you for your feedback.

We are currently in the process of developing the borough's first climate change strategy.

The strategy will set out the council’s vision and ensure that all areas of the organisation's roles and functions address climate change mitigation and adaptation. This takes into consideration the council's role as an estate manager, service provider and community leader to the residents of the borough.

With the help of our partners, we have identified four key objectives that will enable us to mitigate and adapt to climate change. These are outlined in the consultation document and we are now asking your views on how these should be taken forward.

Consultation on the proposed objectives for the draft Hounslow Climate Change Strategy took place over a six week period from Monday 5 September to Sunday 15 October 2011. The detailed document and the consultation questionnaire can be downloaded from the documents to download section on the right.

We will assess responses before developing the action plan and the final draft of the document with our climate change steering group. Formal adoption of the strategy by the council and endorsement from other partners will take place in early 2012.
