As part of our Biking Borough programme and with help from local cyclists, we have identified a number of small changes that could be made to our streets, which would help make cyclists’ journeys safer, quicker and comfortable.
One of the schemes identified is to improve the route for cyclists from Bridge Road through to the Woodland’s estate, through removing the existing guardrail at this point and providing a cycle cut-through.
This allows cyclists to travel east-west easily between Bridge Road and St Johns Road using the quiet closed streets in the Woodlands estate.

The results from this consultation will be reported back to ward councillors who will make a decision on whether to proceed with this proposal or not.
