We’ve been working on plans to improve paths for pedestrians and cyclists in parks and open spaces across the borough.
This year we are looking at a scheme in Lampton Park and around the Civic Centre.
We have put together some plans which summarise our initial ideas. You can download these plans from this page.
They propose some pathway improvements and some new pathways which should improve facilities for pedestrians, particularly mobility impaired people in wheelchairs or with buggies.
The proposals also involve formalising a number of routes through the area for cyclists. This would help to support both the council and Lampton School in their desire to reduce the number of people commuting to their sites by car and promote healthy active travel modes.
In January 2012 we asked for your comments and thoughts on these proposals. The results from this consultation will be fed back to the Heston and Cranford area committee meeting on the 22 March for determination.
