Elmwood Avenue, Castle Way and Sunbury Way, Hanworth
We are proposing to improve bus-stopping facilities on route 25 at six locations near Hanworth Park.
Hardstanding areas will be improved at six bus stops in order to improve waiting conditions for passengers
At the northbound bus stop T2568, outside nos. 201 – 214 Elmwood Avenue, a 25 metres long bus stop clearway would be installed
At the northbound bus stop 2566, south of Fernside Avenue junction, a 25 metres long bus stop clearway would be installed
At the southbound bus stop T2557, opposite Fernside Avenue, a 25 metres long bus stop clearway would be installed
At the southbound bus stop 2555, opposite Queens Way, a 25 metres long bus stop clearway would be installed
At the northbound bus stop 2564, south of Queens Way, a 25 metres long bus stop clearway would be installed
At the eastbound bus stop T2563, outside no. 19 Sunbury Way, a 25 metres long bus stop clearway would be installed
The proposed bus stop clearway markings are designed to ensure that buses can always reach the kerb, without obstruction from parked cars.
Subject to approval by the West Area Committee at its 12 February 2009 meeting, these improvements would be installed in March 2009.
