A consultation was carried in April/May 2011, on a possible expansion of the nearby Hounslow Town Centre South CPZ (residents parking scheme).
The consultation looked at was bounded by Hibernia Road to the east, Wellington Road South to the west, Staines Road to the north and Hanworth Road to the south.
It was noted that the overall response favoured the CPZ, but the support shown was from nice roads out of 28 consulted. In addition three petitions were also received in opposition to the CPZ..
Clear support was shown from the respondents of Albert Road and sufficient from Hibernia Road on a CPZ for these particular roads. The other seven roads are in isolation of Hibernia and Albert Roads and were not recommended to be implemented.
At Central Hounslow Area Committee on 17 November 2011, it was recommended that the CPZ proposals be progressed to the next stage of detailed design and consultation in Hibernia Road and Albert Road alone, and that no further action be taken in the remainder of the roads in the consultation area.
