Our finance department offers a dedicated, professional and highly motivated service to our staff, businesses and local residents alike.
The department successfully manages challenging pressures, the complex finances of the council and led the 0 per cent council tax increase strategy, which it has successfully delivered over the previous two financial years.
We are also playing a leading role in identifying resources for future investment and helping to deliver a number of key projects as part of the council-wide improvement plan.
The Audit Commission’s Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) use of resources rates the department as 3 stars and ‘improving well’.
