Since its launch in autumn 2008, the Rainbow Project has provided Hounslow Homes’ residents with the opportunity to bid for grants of between £5,000 and £100,000 to improve their community or local environment.
The Rainbow Project so far
The Rainbow Project is pleased to announce that there will be a further Small Grants Programme opening up this year (2012).
Applicants are able to apply funding for projects between £500 to £5000 under the following five themes:
promoting a united community - removing barriers within your communities, helping people to get to know each other and encouraging people to get involved
transforming estates - providing better facilities for play, leisure & relaxation
community buildings – new build or refurbishment, equipment or furniture
cocial enterprise - encouraging self sustaining, local business
improving your local environment - reducing your carbon footprint or schemes with a ‘green’ focus
Applications are invited from residents living in Hounslow Homes managed properties across the borough. Applications cannot be made by an individual and must come from a group, for example, a residents' association or community group.
Closing date for all applications: Friday 17 February 2012 by 5pm.
Projects applications submitted must be completed by 1November 2012, to be followed up by evaluation. Download the application form, print, complete and post this to us using the address listed below.
