Hounslow Council

Council grants

Corporate funds are the main strategic funds for our local voluntary sector, and are administered, monitored and evaluated by us.

Funding for specialist service areas can sometimes be provided through other sections of the council. We deal with grants that are processes for community development.

Hounslow's corporate funding currently consists of three streams. These are:

Corporate Revenue Grants

In 2008/9, 32 groups are due to be funded from the Corporate Revenue Grants, totalling £1034,450, with grants ranging from £1,000 to £240,000. the grants are either unrestricted (or "core") funding. The funding is very positive because the majority  is now project related. The 32 groups established meet the council's quality standards.

Community Investment Fund

There is no more funding avaliable for the current financial year 2008/09.

Area Committee Grants

£35,000 has been allocated in 2008/9 for the five area committees as part of the council's commitment to local decision making for local projects. Each area committee has decision-making powers over a budget of £7,000.

These are for grants of up to £500 for projects working locally in the area. These small amounts of money can have an impact in terms of their excess in cash value. The application form and criteria notes is available on the right under the heading documents to download.
