Our voluntary sector funding strategy 2011-2015 includes two changes to council funding:
Commissioning of voluntary sector services 2011-2015 replaces our Corporate Revenue Grant
Community grants 2011-2012 replaces the Community Investment Fund
Hounslow's corporate funding currently consists of the following:
Community grants
This fund aims to provide small-scale annual revenue funding to enable Hounslow based voluntary or community groups to participate more effectively in local development and regeneration.
There is no more funding avaliable for this financial year 2011/2012. The next funding will be available in April 2012.
Area committee grants
Small grants of up to £500 to encourage local community activities within one of the five areas of the borough providing small grants to encourage and support Hounslow based voluntary organisations/community groups who are currently not funded by the council. This could support one-off events and projects for example, local community and cultural events, or could assist towards start-up costs for new groups.
The closing date for completed applications is Friday 17 February 2012.

Hounslow Communities Together
We are committed to promoting community cohesion and fostering a sense of community by bringing people together. We are encouraging local groups to hold small scale celebrations to celebrate the following events:
St Georges Day - 23 April 2012
The Diamond Jubilee - 2-5 June 2012
Olympic Torch Relay - 24 July 2012
The Olympic and Paralympic Games - 27 July - 12 August & 29 August
