Routes that victims of abuse can take include applying for Non-molestation and Occupation Orders.
A Non-molestation order is granted by the courts to prevent the abuser from using abusive behaviour towards you and any children you may have.
As with the Non-molestation orders, Occupation Orders are also granted by the courts, but remove the abuser from the family home and give you the right to occupy it.
If you are receiving benefits you may be entitled to financial support. If you are not eligible, you can make your own application to the courts.
