For a person whose body is to be repatriated into the United Kingdom following their death abroad, and provided their subsequent burial or cremation is to take place in the London Borough of Hounslow, a 'certificate of no liability' has to be issued by the Hounslow Register Office.
This certificate is normally issued to a funeral director. The Registrar will need to see an original death certificate from the country of their demise, clearly stating the cause of death, and any paperwork that may have been issued from the Coroner or Home Office.
