Hounslow Council

About the Community Safety Partnership

Hounslow Community Safety Partnership was established in 1994 by the council, local police and National Probation Service to promote a multi-agency approach to dealing with crime and the fear of it in the borough.

It has now expanded to include Primary Care Trust, Hounslow Magistrates Court, Crown Prosecution Service, the Voluntary Sector Forum, representatives from the Police Consultative Group, Hounslow Racial Equality Council and from the business community.

Since 1998, the Partnership has taken on the responsibility for the Crime & Disorder Audit and the Crime Reduction Strategy. The production of an Audit and Crime Reduction Strategy is a statutory requirement under the Crime & Disorder Act 1998.

All partners are committed to reducing crime and disorder, or the fear of it; and to improving the quality of life overall for those who live, or work in, or visit the borough.
