Paying your business rates

Ways to Pay your Rates Bill

You can make payments online using our Internet Payment Facility

By our Automated Telephone Payments System: Call 020 8583 5959

Please note there is a £5000 limit if you pay by Credit card. Debit card payments are unlimited. Both methods are restricted to the available funds in your account.

If you have any internet or telephone payment problems or questions, please call 020 8583 2328/9.

Direct Debit: If you wish to pay by this method please ring our Business Rates section on 020 8583 5708 and a form will be sent out to you.

Cash or Cheque: At the Civic Centre, the Cashiers office is open Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.00pm. At any bank, (if it is not your own branch, the bank may charge for this service) and at any Post Office by cash or cheque, you may be charged on some accounts for this service.

By Post: Make cheques payable to London Borough of Hounslow. Send payments to Cash Office, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3 4DN. (If a receipt is required you must send the whole instalment slip and a stamped addressed envelope).

Standing Order: If you choose this option you must make your own arrangements with your Bank or Building Society, which must be in accordance with the payment amounts and dates shown on your bill, ensuring they quote your account reference.

By Euros: Euro denomination cheques should be made payable to the London Borough of Hounslow and sent to the Cash office address as above. If you wish to pay direct in Euro currency please use our Euro Account at HSBC Bank PLC 40-25-02 57603808. Please note any administration costs charged to the council by it’s bankers to facilitate Euro cheques must be borne by the payer as must any indebtedness as a result of exchange rate adjustment.

By Telephone: You can make payments using our Automated Telephone Payments System by calling 020 8583 5959 24 hours a day.

Please ensure that the correct reference number is quoted when using all methods of payment otherwise we may not be able to allocate the funds directly to your account.
