To calculate monthly rates: weekly figure multiplied by 52 divided by 12.
For example to calculate the monthly Local Housing Allowance for a household fulfilling the criteria for two bedrooms in the Outer West London area.

£207.69 x 52 = £10799.88pa

£10799.88/12 = £899.99pcm

Remember the Local Housing Allowance (LHA) rate applicable to you will be determined by the number of bedrooms your household requires (as defined in the LHA regulations) and the BRMA in which you live.

Please note that from April 2011 LHA is capped to the 4 bedroom rate. This means that if your householdsize would have required 5 or more bedrooms your LHA will now be capped to the 4 bedroom rate.

Also from April 2011, LHA rates in all areas of the Borough have been reduced. There will be 3 out of 10 properties to rent, compared to prior to the nerw LHA rates where there were 5 out of 10 properties available to rent.
