Recycling from your house

Our comprehensive recycling service makes it possible for you to recycle more than 70 per cent of your household waste.

Our current recycling rates are around 35 per cent. Our aim is to recycle at least 50 per cent of all household waste.

Waste that is not recycled is sent to landfill sites where it is buried. It is harmful to the environment and increasingly expensive to get rid of waste in this way.

Garden waste

You can subscribe to receive a fortnightly collection of garden waste from your home using a wheelie bin or garden sacks. Visit our garden waste page for more information and costs. All garden waste is recycled.
