Future Borough vision, strategy and action plan
Future Borough is Hounslow Together’s Sustainable Community Strategy – the overarching partnership strategy for the borough.
This document brings together the strategic long term vision for the economic, social and environmental wellbeing for the local area. All partners have worked to develop the strategy, following thorough consultation with residents and other stakeholders.
Vision
‘A Vision for Hounslow 2030’ was developed by the Hounslow Together partners following stakeholder workshops. The partnership consulted on the vision with residents and other stakeholders from December 2010 to February 2011.
The vision can be summarised as:
“Hounslow will be a borough where people enjoying living and choose to stay throughout their lives. A great place to invest and do business.”

Future Borough strategy
The Future Borough strategy takes the vision one step further, translating the ambitions in the vision into outcomes, targets and actions to be acheived. It was developed by the Hounslow Together partnership building on, and including the results of the vision consultation.
The draft strategy and action plan went through a further round of consultation during June and early July 2011, before the final draft was produced and approved in late July 2011.
