If you are a council tenant and have a blocked drain
You will need to contact the customer service centre at Hounslow Homes on 0800 085 65 75. They will arrange for a plumber to visit you to resolve the problem.

If you are a private tenant and have a blocked drain
Yes. If your property is the only property served by the drains they are your responsibility. If they are constructed prior to 1936 and share drainage systems with your neighbours, then contact Thames Water on 0845 9200800.

The fee to call someone out
Yes. The current fee for our drainage crew to attend is £74.60 for an attempt to clear a blocked drain.

If a notice is served
The terms of the notice must be complied with or the work will be undertaken by the council on your behalf and you will be charged the costs incurred.

Reporting a blocked gully
You should report a blocked gully to the Customer Services Team on 020 8583 5555, with an address, location and a brief description of the problem. These details will be recorded onto a database for investigation.

Reporting a blocked road drain
Broken road gully covers and blocked road gullies should be reported to us on 020 8583 5555. If required, arrangements will be made to repair or replace the damaged cover.

If your neighbour's drain is blocked and overflowing onto your property
If, after approaching your neighbour and informing them of the problem, they refuse to do something about it, the Pollution Control Team may be able to assist with this problem. They can be contacted on 020 8583 5555. Details will be taken by the Customer Services Team and logged onto a database for investigation.
