Building materials, scaffolding and hoarding
When carrying out any building or maintenance work or removal of any part of a property, which is close to the road or pavement, the safety of all road users must be paramount.
If you wish to place building materials on the street you will need to get permission from us first.
Complete a highways activity licence form and send it to us with the appropriate fee.
If it is necessary to put hoardings on the street around the place of work or scaffolding, complete the form together with a sketch.
Skip permits
If you hire a skip you will need to have a vaild skip permit. The skip hire company is responsible for obtaining this.
