In our brochure there are two fees printed beside each course. The first fee is the concessionary course fee (and includes the exam or assessment fee if applicable). The second fee is the full course fee (and includes the exam or assessment fee if applicable).
If you are enrolling for a qualification course (indicated with a Q in our brochure), then you are automatically entered for that qualification and are required to pay the exam or assessment fees.
Concessions
Concessions are available to those who are in receipt of one of the following benefits:
Job Seeker’s Allowance
Council Tax Benefit
Housing Benefit
Income Support
Working Tax Credit and a household income of less than £15,050
Unwaged dependants of those above
People aged over 60 and unwaged
People who are receiving Disability Living Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or Disabled Person’s Tax Credit
If you are claiming a concession then it is essential to provide proof of this when you enrol.
Exceptions
There are no concessions available in some courses that are self-financing, such as EFL.
Concessions are not available to non-EU residents and overseas students. You are a non-EU resident if you have not been continuously resident in an EU or EEA country for a period of 3 years before that start of your course.
No fees at all are charged for those who are aged 16-18 years on 31-Aug-06 and on a qualification course, or for those doing Skills for Life courses who have EU residency status.
