Council tax 2015-2016
Hounslow Council is doing all it can to help residents in these tough economic times, so this year we have frozen the level of council tax you have to pay.
The average band D household council tax bill will be £1,374.77 for 2015/16.
Despite the unprecedented cuts made to our grants by the coalition government, Hounslow Council will continue to invest in the services and priorities we believe are most important to the people of Hounslow.
We will maintain our efficiency and transformation programmes which are already producing significant 'housekeeping' savings and will maximise our income wherever we reasonably can.
We will ensure brighter futures for our children and young people by investing in education, and we will always put children?s safety first.
We will help keep people independent and work with the health services to provide better support through ill health and recovery.
We will honour our pledge to secure 3,000 affordable homes and we will find much cheaper ways of housing homeless people.
We will also save money by more efficient rubbish collection and recycling, keeping our streets cleaner at the same time.
