In acquiring British citizenship, you will be joining a community made up of many different backgrounds, cultures and faiths. Since becoming a British citizen is a significant event, we hold regular citizenship ceremonies as opportunities for applicants to celebrate their new citizenship.
Procedure
Once you have been awarded British Nationality by the Home Office, you will receive a letter instructing you to call the citizenship team at Hounslow Register Office.
When you phone you will be asked for certain details, including your name, postal address and Home Office reference number, so please have your letter with you.
We will then arrange a ceremony date and this will be confirmed in writing.
Group ceremonies are held on a weekly basis and private ceremonies can be arranged at additional cost. These costs will be payable on the day and are currently required to be cash only.
