Childcare

Hounslow Family Information Service provides free up to date and impartial advice and guidance on the full range of Ofsted registered childcare and early years education in Hounslow.

We also provide information on leisure and parent/child activities that can help with your child's early years development.

The range of information that we hold includes:

  • Childminders

  • Private day nurseries

  • Pre-school playgroups

  • Before and afterschool clubs

  • Holiday play schemes

  • Sure Start Children's Centres

  • Parent and toddler groups

  • Home child carers (nannies, au pairs and babysitters)

  • Mainstream school nurseries and information on starting school

  • Soft play centres

If you are unable to find what you are looking for on our webpages under documents for download and would like our help to find the right childcare solution for you and your family, please contact us. We aim to provide you with an answer to your enquiry within one working day.

We also provide information on financial assistance available to families if you are using, or considering using childcare. For further information on financial assistance, please refer to 'Quid’s for Kids' booklet on the financial help for families page.

Child protection

Protecting children and young people is everyone's responsibility, so it is important to contact us if you have any concerns about a child being harmed or at risk of harm.  Children and their parents may need urgent help.
