We are trained to help with issues or requests for information relating to your social care needs.
We provide a confidential information and assessment service, whether you are enquiring about help at home following loss of independence, day care for someone or a carer’s assessment for yourself.
To understand what help you need, we will ask you a number of questions about your health, your family circumstances, what you can and cannot do at home and what help you think you may need. The information you provide will help us to decide whether you may be eligible for services.
If you are not eligible, we will provide you with information about other services that may be able to help.
If they think you may be eligible, we will contact you and arrange to visit you to carry out an assessment of need at home.
Paying for services
Whilst advice and the assessment is free, most of our services will have to be paid for. How much you pay will depend on how much you can afford and a financial assessment will be carried out on you. Please see paying for social care services.
