We regularly review and monitor the quality of air in the borough because of its poor levels.
Factors that influence the quality of air:
Fossil fuels used by cars and lorries;
Aircraft fuel being close to an international airport;
Gases carried out by factory chimneys and power stations;
Gas and oil fired central heating boilers, and
Open fires and bonfires.
